C.M. Stevens Individualized Educatin Center

I have two children that attend C.M. Steven's School. Terrance has attended for two years and is doing great. When Terrance arrived at C.M. Steven's School, he was in a wheel chair and he did not talk that much. But now Terrance is walking, and talking to the other students also the teachers. There has been a great change in him, in his education and his self-esteem. His grades are much better. Terrance is a very happy student.

This is Brian's first year at C.M. Steven's School He is reading and is doing his math very well. He is happy in his Karate class. I see a great change in his education and his self-esteem. I am a very proud and happy for my two boys to be students at C.M. Steven's School. Dr. Steven's is a person to his word. He encourages them and helps them to do their best, and to be the best that they can be at all times. I personally recommend C.M. Steven's Individualized Education Center to be the number one school.

From Dr. CM Stevens

The main goal and mission of Stevens Prep Academy is "to advocate success in all students". We achieve this goal by various means. The first thing we do is to accept each student at the time they need help, instead of telling them to waste time until the next semester or quarter.

The second thing we do is academic placement testing. We do this to find the strengths and weaknesses of every student versus throwing into an already on-going class as most other schools do.

The third and very important thing that we do is offer small class sizes with 1 on 1 assistance and instruction.

And the fourth thing we do is weekly evaluation of an educational program using the NC state curriculum guidelines but, conforming those guidelines to the level and pace of the student. When done properly, that spells student success.
